Washington State Bucket List

I've lived in the state of Washington my entire life.  That is a long time.  At least to me it's a long time.

There are a lot of things that I haven't done around here.  A lot of things that I really should do!

Introducing...

A mini bucket list for my Washington State must-dos!  Let's get on with it shall we?  (Yes, get on with it! - Holy Grail anybody?)

1.  Explore and see Mt. St. Helens

2.  Eat dinner at the Space Needle

3. Visit the EMP

4.  Check out the Seattle Art Museum

5.  Visit the Seattle aquarium

6.  Explore the San Juan islands and hike around

7.  Complete the Wonderland Trail around Mt. Rainier

8.  Drink Starbucks in the 73rd floor of the Columbia Center building

9.  Stay the night at a hotel in Leavenworth

11.  Climb Mt. Adams with my husband (he's already done it twice, I think I can do it one time, ha!)

12.  Backpack in the Hoh Rainforest

13.  Explore the Skagit Tulip Festival

14.  Explore Deception Pass

15.  Hike the Enchantments

16.  Visit the Ape Caves

17.  Kayak somewhere in the Puget Sound

  1. Great list!!!! Make sure you sign up for Sky City's birthday club. They send out deals!!! (restaurant at the top of the Space Needle) I wanted to go and *just* have appetizers but they require a $25 minimum purchase!! It's always been on my list of things to do!! One of my favorite things to do near Mt St helens was a movie theater that had a show about st helens and rumble strips below you! They ran out of funding to have it open and closed it :( The real thing is pretty neat though (when it's not cloudy! lol) Leavenworth- ahhh!! I really want to go sometime in the summer and in the winter. The winter would be amazing with all the Christmas lights and so cozy and romantic!!! Ahh so many great things!

  3. We had my senior prom at EMP... that's the only time I've been. I would like to go back and see it not filled with drunk high schoolers!

I've never been to Leavenworth before and I have been DYING to go at Christmastime!

  9. I found your bucket list on pinterest. I love it! Some day I would like to move to Washington or Oregon...there's just so many cities to choose from I wouldn't even know where to start. Thanks for adding this!

  10. Hey, you don't have anything from Eastern Washington on your list! We've got some great stuff 'round our parts of the state, as well! ;) Especially the Cherry Picker's Trot and Pit Spit... if you want to go to a fun, family oriented (but very redneck) gathering, it's a big hit in the Spokane County area. I haven't gone for a couple years, but I remember when we did it as kids. Loved that festival. :)

  11. People who live in one place all their lives are missing out on a world of incredible adventures, natural beauty, and fascinating cultures. Washington is beautiful but don't spend your whole life there!
