Homemade Hand Scrub

Another one of our homemade gifts for Christmas was this peppermint hand scrub.  I got the recipe idea from Maybe Matilda.
It only took us me about 10 minutes to make and bottle!  It's so nice and makes your hands feel good!

This recipe was enough to fill 4 half pint (8 oz.) jars. The things you are going to need are:
   --  Jars
   --  Mixing bowl
   --  3 cups of sugar
   --  1 cup + 2 Tbsp of olive oil
--  3 tsp of a scented essential oil of your choice (we picked peppermint for Christmas time)

The first thing you do is mix the sugar and oil really well.  Ours turned out a little yellow from the olive oil.  Oh well...

Then you add in the scented oil and mix.  That's it!  You're done!  Now put it in your jars (or whatever container you are using) and you'll be done.

I mod-podged our jars before making the scrub and added a little tag to them as well.  Don't they look nice?  All you have to do to use it is scrub it on your hands and wash it off.  Your hands will be nice and soft afterwards!
